BEvocaL, the Belgian national youth choir is a high-quality choir for young singers from 18 up to 30 years old to meet and sing together. BEvocaL is an innovative musical collaboration between all three Belgian language communities. BEvocaL wants to be an overall inspiration for choirs throughout Belgium and the collaboration between the different language communities. On top of that the choir aspires to be an ambassador on a national and international level for choral music coming form Belgium as well as traditions specific to our country. 

The artistic team 

BEvocaL works with two choir conductors: Benoît Giaux and Jori Klomp. They are assisted by vocal coach Liesbeth Devos. Benoît Giaux, artistic director of the children's and youth choir of La Monnaie and vocal teacher at the IMEP (Namur) is the perfect addition to choir conductor, saxophone player and singer Jori Klomp, presently music director to the Theater Aachen (Germany). Soprano Liesbeth Devos combines an international opera and concert career with a fiery passion to teach young vocal talent.

Musical approach

BEvocaL presents a diverse program with works from various musical styles, and stands out by an original and totally unexpected use of the concert room during a performance. Therefore, BEvocaL guarantees an intense and intimate musical concert experience which allows the audience to go home completely enchanted!
